Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Physical Therapist in delivering resident therapy services. You will screen residents, implement treatment plans, and educate families on exercises and progress.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in PTA and current state licensure, plus strong English communication and teamwork. The role requires ability to work with ill or elderly residents and maintain documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have Associates’ degree in Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Must hold current state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Must read, write, and speak the English language clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screening of residents to determine therapy needs.
• Provide education to residents and their families on therapeutic exercises and activities as well as on proper techniques to maintain therapy progress.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure therapy services are coordinated within the overall care plan.
• Document all therapy services provided in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area.
• Communicate with the Physical Therapist and other team members about resident progress and concerns.
