Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant for St. Charles Hospital to deliver therapeutic interventions under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

You will document patient progress and help ensure smooth operation of daily patient care across inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics and off-site locations. Licensed PTA in the active state is required; BLS is preferred or required within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required).
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH).
• Experience: None.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains accurate records of treatment and patient progress.
• Maintains productivity without compromising quality of care.
• Precepts in the direction and evaluation of student interns.
• Follows safety, infection control, and timecard procedures.
