Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of the diploma.
• Certification program completion preferred.
• CPR/BLS required.
• Phlebotomy certification or license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and skin puncture on all patient age groups per SOP.
• Verify patient identity using at least two identifiers.
• Label aliquots with patient identifiers.
• Transcribe orders from outside providers as needed.
• Respond to code teams as required.
• Adhere to universal and special precautions.
