Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate donors on the donation process and center policies.
• Greet donors and explain the donation process to establish trust.
• Perform venipuncture procedures following SOPs and protocols.
• Monitor donor well-being and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain equipment and ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Set up plasma donation machines and respond to alarms.
• Accurately collect and label test samples, including NAT testing.
• Record donor data and incidents in the donor information system.
• Handle donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns professionally.
• Support donor flow and notify management of bottlenecks.
• Prepare the center for audits and maintain regulatory compliance.
