Job summary

Kedplasma, a Kedrion Biopharma Inc. subsidiary, is seeking a Phlebotomist to guide donors through the plasma donation process. You will perform venipuncture, monitor donors, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while collaborating with a dedicated team.

Responsibilities include educating donors, performing venipuncture per SOPs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate data recording. A strong focus on safety and donor care is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification is preferred (required in California).
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and donor care.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Educate and greet donors and explain the donation process.
• Perform venipuncture procedures following SOPs.
• Monitor donor well-being and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; report malfunctions.
• Set up plasmapheresis machines and respond to alarms.
• Collect and label test samples accurately; perform NAT testing.
• Record donor data in the donor information system.
• Respond to donor concerns and manage donations flow.
• Prepare the center for audits and ensure SOP compliance.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality of donor information.
