Job summary

Kedrion Biopharma Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to join Ked Plasma in Pensacola. You will guide donors through a safe plasma donation, perform venipuncture, and help maintain a clean, welcoming center.

As part of the team, you will educate donors, monitor well‑being, operate donation machines, and ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance to support a life‑saving therapy pipeline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California).
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and compassionate in high‑pressure situations.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and donor care.
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment with exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

• Educate donors on the donation process, center policies, compensation, and the importance of plasma‑based therapies.
• Greet donors and introduce the donation process to establish trust and comfort.
• Conduct venipuncture procedures following SOPs, including arm prep and collection volumes.
• Monitor donor well‑being during donation and respond to adverse reactions.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment; report malfunctions and ensure readiness.
• Set up plasma donation machines and respond to alarms.
• Collect and label test samples, including NAT testing protocols.
• Keep the donor floor stocked with supplies and soft goods.
• Record donor data and incidents in the electronic donor information system.
• Respond to donor complaints, deferrals, or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support donor flow and alert management to bottlenecks.
• Prepare the center for audits; maintain cleanliness and SOP compliance.
• Uphold data integrity and confidentiality for donor and center information.
