Job summary

Labcorp in Columbia, MD is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages, data entry, and providing exceptional patient service.

The work schedule is Monday–Friday 8:15am–5:15pm with occasional Saturdays, depending on assignments. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or related training/experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent).
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience as phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as needed.
