Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospitals is seeking a Pet Care Assistant to join the veterinary team. You will help prepare exam rooms, restrain pets during procedures, and assist with routine in-house lab tests under state rules. You’ll also support client services and keep the hospital clean and organized, including the surgical suite.

The role requires strong communication, multi-tasking, and a commitment to animal welfare. Weekend and evening hours are possible as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred; 18+ to perform radiography duties.
• At least 1 year related experience with customer service preferred.
• Must be available for weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment room and supplies for examinations by veterinarians.
• Restrain pets during examination, treatment, or inoculation.
• Prepare routine in-house lab tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Monitor comfort of hospitalized patients and provide enrichment.
• Clean the surgical suite and instruments.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and housekeeping per protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
