Job summary

Westminster Assisted Living & Memory Care of Decatur is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our caring team. The PCA provides direct care, assists with daily living activities, and helps create a safe, nurturing environment for residents.

The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and communication skills, is compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in elder care and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide meal support, hydration, and feeding assistance as needed.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health and behavior to the nursing team.
• Foster companionship and engagement in activities to promote well-being and independence.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized living areas and follow infection control procedures.
