Job summary

Westminster Assisted Living & Memory Care of Decatur is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities in a safe, nurturing environment. The role emphasizes empathy, attention to detail, and promoting dignity and independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, promoting nutrition and hydration, monitoring health, and engaging residents in social activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA/CNA or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with ADLs and promoting safety and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in residents' health, behavior, and condition to the nursing team; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster positive relationships with residents through companionship and engagement in activities.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
