Job summary

HomeCare Crew Inc. is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide hands-on daily care for clients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal assistance, while promoting comfort, dignity, and independence.

The PCA will help with mobility and safety, offer companionship, and support nurses and other staff. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and includes opportunities for further training.

Qualifications

• Current Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or equivalent is required.
• Experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to lift and move clients safely and comfortably.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
• Help client move and reposition safely to prevent bedsores and promote mobility.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping duties in clients' rooms, including cleaning and tidying up.
• Report changes in clients' condition to nurse supervisor.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity while delivering care.
