Job summary

CareBuilders at Home is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Aide (PCA) to assist clients with daily activities in their homes, including bathing, feeding, grooming and medication reminders. This role requires genuine care for others and the ability to be physically active.

You will also perform light housekeeping, help with transportation to medical appointments, and monitor health changes to report to supervisors. The job supports safe, dignified care for clients who value independence.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a personal care aide.
• Training in personal care aide duties is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, feeding, grooming and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, dishwashing, and changing bed linens.
• Transport and accompany clients to doctors' appointments or to hospital.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behaviour, and needs.
• Ensure client safety and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with client’s exercise and outdoor activities.
• Help clients with physical therapy exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals.
