Job summary

Home Or Away is seeking a dependable Personal Care Aide to provide essential, hands-on support for clients in their own homes. You will work one-on-one with clients to assist with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and documenting observations to ensure safety and comfort.

We value compassion, reliability, and strong communication. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required, and HIPAA privacy standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• Background in home care, assisted living, or memory care preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required before start.
• HIPAA privacy knowledge expected.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily Living Support: Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility (ADLs).
• Health Advocacy: Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or wellness.
• Nutritional Care: Prepare meals per dietary requirements and assist feeding when needed.
• Home Environment: Light housekeeping to maintain a safe living space.
• Transportation: Safely accompany clients to medical appointments and errands.
• Safe Handling: Perform transfers and repositioning to ensure comfort and safety.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of care activities and observations.
