Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital at NYU Langone Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the 11th Floor, Part Time Nights (6 months hospital experience required). The ideal candidate has a PCT program or CNA background, BLS/CPR certification, and will complete the PCT online program within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a Patient Care Technician (PCT) program OR CNA with course in EKG & Phlebotomy and PCT certification eligible.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required upon entry; online PCT program must be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates NYU Langone Health Core Values in the performance of duties.
• Assists in data collection for the unit's Quality and Performance Improvement Program, including patient satisfaction.
• Assists with patient care tasks, admission, transfer and discharge procedures as directed by the registered nurse.
