Responsibilities

• Rounds the hospital to assess transport inventory and moves equipment to optimize operations and maximize patient throughput.
• Greets and informs patients of move process, ensuring dignity, comfort and safety.
• Transports patients and patient charts to departments, providing empathy and a thorough hand-off.
• Transports patients upon discharge and assists them into their vehicle when needed, ending the stay with a friendly note.
• Prioritizes multiple transport requests to reduce wait times and improve patient/family satisfaction.
• Responds quickly to equipment issues to keep carts, beds and other items available as needed.
