Qualifications

• BART or BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire, with commitment to obtain BART within six months.
• Six months of experience in a healthcare facility or two years inpatient transport experience at another institution.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Capability to lift over 50 pounds and push/pull a gurney or bed with patients up to 300 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends as needed.
• Focus on patient safety, service quality, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients in wheelchairs, on gurneys, and beds to and from nursing units, imaging, and other areas.
• Assist with lifting, turning, repositioning, and transfers for patients needing assistance.
• Transport equipment, records, and supplies to support patient care and bed availability.
• Collaborate with Transport Call Center and hospital teams to optimize workflow and throughput.
• Identify equipment issues and submit service requests to maintain operations.
