Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center is seeking a Patient Transporter responsible for moving patients to and from the Diagnostic Services Department. The role requires operating basic medical equipment and ensuring patient safety during transfers in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities include using RIS for check-in/out, handling IVAC pumps, and assisting with transfers using stretchers and wheelchairs while communicating effectively with patients from infants to the elderly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.
• Uses RIS to check-in/check-out patients.
• Handles IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks with basic knowledge.
• Operates stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and PPE.
• Communicates with patients across age groups to ensure a safe environment.
