Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a patient services associate to provide front-desk and billing support in a busy clinic environment. You will schedule appointments, enter billing information, and assist with medical records while treating patients with empathy and professionalism.

In this role you will communicate with patients and staff to ensure accurate, timely service, handle difficult inquiries, and help maintain compliant records in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.
• Ability to function in a high volume, multi-task environment and in a crowded or closely shared workspace.
• Exposure to ill patients; ability to work under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through general office duties.
• Schedule appointments.
• Perform coding, registration, and billing.
• Collect payment at time of service to maximize revenues.
• Enter accurate and up-to-date billing information into the patient accounting system.
• Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records.
• Provide service to patients arriving for appointments or contacting the clinic by telephone or in person.
• Respond to requests for appointments or information on tests, procedures, bills, charges, referrals, and other matters.
• Follow up accurately on missing billing information.
• Uphold standards for accurate and timely medical records.
• Support providers and connect with patients to ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.
