Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Billing/Registration Specialist to join our healthcare team in Wisconsin. You will handle scheduling, coding, registration, and billing to ensure accurate patient records and timely payments.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of customer service experience, the ability to work in a high-volume environment, and a compassionate approach when assisting patients and providers across Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Prairie, and Franklin sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related customer service experience.
• Experience handling difficult callers/customers/patients.
• Ability to function in a high-volume, multi-task environment and in a crowded or closely shared workspace.
• Ability to work under stressful conditions with demanding customers.
• Must lift up to 35 pounds without help.
• Flexibility to travel between Mount Pleasant, Pleasant Prairie, and Franklin sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, effective, quality customer service and practice support through scheduling, coding, registration, and billing.
• Maximize revenues by collecting payment at time of service
• Enter accurate and up-to-date billing information, including address and insurance coverage, into the patient accounting system
• Assist clinical staff in maintaining accurate medical records
• Provide efficient, high-quality service to patients arriving for appointments or requesting appointments or information by telephone or in person
• Respond to inquiries about tests and procedures, bills and charges, referrals, and other matters
• Enter patient and payer billing information at time of service and follow up accurately on missing information
• Uphold practice and medical group standards for accurate and timely medical records
• Support providers, connect with patients, and help ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience
