Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient-focused individual to join the Physical Therapy Department as a clerical and supportive clinical aide. You will help with day-to-day operations, transport patients and supplies, and assist with treatment preparation and post-treatment departure.

The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts. Training is provided on the job, and the position emphasizes energetic, patient-oriented service and clear English

Qualifications

• Hospital will train.
• Must be energetic and patient oriented.
• Ability to read and write English at 12th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and supportive clinical functions necessary for the day-to-day operation of the Physical Therapy Department.
• Performs routine care and cleaning of equipment.
• Prepares patients for treatment and/or assists patients in preparation for departure at the end of treatment.
• Transports patients, records, equipment and supplies.
• Performs some treatment procedures, such as follow-up of functional and ambulation activities, routine-specific exercises and application of superficial heat or cold under direct supervision of a P.T. or P.T.A.
• Performs general office procedures.
