Qualifications

• Two (2) years of college or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in healthcare, finance, patient accounts, social services, or financial assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide consumers and patients with price estimates for services.
• Screen and enroll patients in applicable state and federal health insurance plans and assistance programs.
• Determine patient liability using systems and staff to advise on financial obligations.
• Interview and screen patients at bedside and via phone for admissions across the health system.
• Inform patients of MU Health’s Financial Assistance program and screen/approve applications.
