UVA Health is seeking a Financial Counselor to guide patients through financial assistance and eligibility processes, supporting revenue cycle operations with empathy and precision.

You will meet with patients, review applications, answer questions about resources, and collaborate with the patient financial services team to remove barriers to care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a fully onsite role serving Charlottesville, Culpeper, and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Education requirements: High School or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: 4 years in customer service with desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• As a Financial Counselor, assist patients through financial assistance and eligibility process.
• Review financial assistance applications and answer questions on eligibility and resources.
• Manage assigned work queues and collaborate with colleagues across patient financial services.
• Support revenue cycle operations and ensure smooth financial interactions with patients.

Education
