Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate to perform financial screening, identify residual balances and assist patients with payment options and coverage navigation. The role requires knowledge of assistance programs and Presbyterian policies, with emphasis on avoiding bad debt and guiding patients toward appropriate resources.

Responsibilities include counseling patients on financial responsibilities, creating payment plans in Epic, and escalating chronic no-pay

Qualifications

• Three to five years of healthcare experience in a physician office or hospital.
• Experience with patient interaction and billing/collections preferred.
• Knowledge of ACA and healthcare costs assistance programs.

Responsabilités

• Achieve exceptional patient experience using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
• Resolve complaints and manage conflicts with supervisor help when needed.
• Calculate patient out-of-pocket expenses (copayment, coinsurance, residual, deductible etc.).
• Set up payment plans in Epic per guidelines.
• Document patient discussions and maintain audit trails.
