Job summary

North Shore Medical Center is seeking a compassionate Patient Dining Associate to join our dietary team in Miami, FL. You will deliver meals to patients, assist with menu selections, and ensure dietary guidelines are followed.

This full-time role involves early and long shifts (6:30am–6:30pm), weekend work possible, and a pay rate of $16.39 per hour. Previous healthcare or food service experience is preferred, along with strong communication and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Healthcare or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient meals in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist patients with meal selection, modifications, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures and per dietary needs.
• Provide mealtime assistance as needed, including cutting food and opening packages.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas and equipment.
• Coordinate with nursing and dietary staff to ensure smooth meal service.
• Record patient meal preferences and modifications.
