Lemontree Healthcare in Hialeah, FL is hiring a Patient Dining Associate to join our dietary team. You will deliver patient meals, assist with meal selection and modifications, and ensure meals meet dietary guidelines while promoting a positive dining experience.

You’ll work closely with patients, the dietary team, and healthcare staff to provide timely and accurate meal service. The role requires empathy, clear communication, and the ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous healthcare or food service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry trays and meal delivery carts.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Meal Delivery and Assistance: Deliver patient meals in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist patients with meal selection, modifications, and dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Ensure meals are served at proper temperature and according to patient needs.
• Provide mealtime assistance as needed.
• Communicate with patients regarding meal preferences and dietary requirements.
• Observe and report changes in a patient's eating habits or condition to the healthcare team.
• Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with meals.
• Dietary Compliance: Ensure meals comply with prescribed diets and orders; modify meals as needed for allergies and preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas and equipment; follow food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Collaboration: Work with nursing staff, dietitians, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal delivery; report concerns.
• Record Keeping: Maintain records of patient meal preferences and modifications and log deliveries.
