Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring immediately for full- and part-time Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide positions at Tennova Lafollette, TN. You will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support the caregiving team in a hospital setting.

The role requires a willingness to learn and prefer at least one year of patient-serving experience; a fixed pay rate of $14.00 per hour; rotating weekends; and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies and cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state and local regulations and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines in food handling and cleaning.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
