Morrison Healthcare is hiring a PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE (DIETARY AIDE) for full-time work at CHS Tennova Newport in Newport, TN. The role includes assisting patients with menu selections, delivering meals, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness per nutritional guidelines.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, basic computer skills, and good English literacy. Weekend availability is required with a competitive hourly pay range of $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, with full-time

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu options for patients with allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient orders and retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for handling food and maintaining clean work stations and tray line.
• Support dietitians and monitor patients on special diets as needed.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
