The role involves assisting on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, and delivering meals to ensure accuracy and safety.

Qualified candidates should have basic English literacy and the ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds, plus basic math and computer skills.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
Basic computer and mathematical skills.
Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
Assemble meals and retrieve trays on time according to patient selections.
Follow HIPAA, HACCP, and infection control policies while handling food and cleaning work stations.
Support dietitians in monitoring patients with dietary restrictions.
