Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide (Full Time) for Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton in Covington, TN. The role involves assisting patients with menu selections, assembling meals, and delivering trays in a hospital setting.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. Schedule includes days with potential weekend work. Pay range is $14.00–$14.50 per hour.

Qualifications

Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
Basic computer and mathematical skills.
Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies and sensitivities; cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection, retrieving trays at set times.
Complies with federal, state and JCAHO regulations and HIPAA policies.
Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining a clean work area.
Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets.
