Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company in Fort Smith, AR, is hiring for full-time Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide roles at Mercy Health. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure safety and satisfaction of patients.

Prior customer service experience is preferred, with a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Join a team that values care, quality, and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, or preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections; retrieve trays at scheduled times.
• Comply with HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures in food handling and tray line.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or special calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
