Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for a PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/Dietary Aide at Mercy Health in Fort Smith, AR. This full-time role involves assisting patients with menu selections, delivering meals, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to patient selections and deliver on time.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards; protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and when cleaning work stations.
• Adhere to infection control policies and department procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets or calorie counts.
• Report issues to appropriate personnel promptly and complete routine reports as outlined.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and assist with other duties as assigned.
