Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for a full-time shift in Covington, LA. Location is LCMC Lakeview with online applications accepted only. Schedule is Monday through Friday; some weekends may be included. Prior food service experience is preferred but not required.

Pay range is $13.00 to $14.00 per hour. You will join a team dedicated to nourishing patients and maintaining high standards of care and service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, cultural, religious preferences, or additional selections.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards; adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and sanitation procedures for the tray line.
• Assist dietitians with patients on restricted or special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
