Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at LCMC Lakeview in Covington, LA. You will join a hospital dining team delivering meals to patients with accuracy and compassion.

You will assist on assigned units with menu selections, tray assembly, and timely delivery while supporting dietary guidelines. Prior food service experience is preferred; weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, religious or cultural preferences; accommodate patient needs.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to menu selections on a timely and accurate basis.
• Comply with regulator standards including federal, state and JCAHO; adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work stations.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel and complete daily/weekly/monthly reports.
