Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA credential, EMT, or other clinical healthcare experience or related training.
• Must complete Patient Care Associate Competency Based Training and Practicum.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to or within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, perform selected patient care tasks and report information to assist assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Obtain and record vital signs as ordered or delegated by the RN.
• Assist in safe and efficient delivery of patient care and ensure correct patient identification and lab/test procedures.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff; support unit operations and coverage as needed.
• Relocate and rotate to meet patient care needs and contribute to a positive care environment.
