Job summary

Indiana University Health System is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCA) to support bedside care by assisting with meals, mobility, baths, linen changes, and comfort. You will work with the bedside RN, monitor vital signs, and report changes to ensure rapid response and safe care.

Qualifications

• Requires current Basic Life Support certification through the AHA or completion of the IU Health PCA education program.
• Knowledge of age-appropriate care for patients and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills and safety practices to protect patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist bedside RN by obtaining vital signs and reporting abnormalities.
• Support patients with meals, mobility, baths, linens, and comfort to enhance experience.
• Maintain safety with gait belts, alarms, and staying within arm's reach during movement.
