Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, data collection, mobility support, and ensuring a safe care environment. The PCT will collect vital signs, support meals and hygiene, and communicate patient information to the care team while adhering to infection control protocols and PPE

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire required.
• CNA certification preferred or pursuing CNA.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and other patient data to RN/LPN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Document urine/stool samples and monitor blood glucose via finger sticks.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and follow safety protocols.
