The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks aligned with training and department needs. Under RN/LPN supervision, the PCT supports patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe care environment, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.

Qualifications include 0–2 years in acute care or nursing program enrollment, and BCLS within 90 days of hire. CNA or CPCT preferred.

Formación

• 0–2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire required.
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred or in progress.

Responsabilidades

• Assist nursing staff with basic patient care and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Record vital signs and patient data; report to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, hygiene, mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Support infection control and PPE use according to policy.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in performance improvement and risk management activities.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with all policies.
