Job summary

Bon Secours is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at St. Francis Eastside to provide basic patient care under RN guidance. The role includes assisting with personal care, monitoring vital signs, documentation, and ensuring comfort and safety for patients. Excellent communication with staff and patients is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of nursing aide training or CNA equivalent required per state.
• Recent experience in acute care, physician's office, home health/hospice, or long-term care preferred but not required.
• EPIC EHR training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vital signs, personal hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes/concerns.
• Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Participate in hand-off/report of patient and departmental needs on arrival and departure.
• Perform delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Assist with safe patient transfers and encourage independence.
