Job summary

Atlantic Health in New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support doctors and nursing staff by meeting basic patient needs, including feeding, bathing, and monitoring daily health.

You will record vital signs, assist with mobility, and perform procedures such as EKGs and phlebotomy while reporting changes to the RN; join a team dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care across our facilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
