Job summary

Atlantic Health System is seeking staff to assist doctors and nurses in meeting patients' basic needs while supporting clinical teams in daily tasks. This role involves helping patients with daily activities, recording vital signs, and assisting with mobility and procedures under RN supervision.

The position emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient care, and accurate data management across electronic systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patient, compassionate nature.
• Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfer, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
