Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Patient Care Technician at Grandview Endoscopy Surgery Center in Birmingham, AL. You will assist with daily patient care, vital signs, and mobility, under RN/LPN supervision, in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include preparing environments, communicating with the care team, and upholding infection control and safety protocols. CNA preferred; BCLS within 90 days of hire. Full-time day shift with benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of patient care practices and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
• BCLS within 90 days of hire; CNA certification preferred or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Record patient data including vital signs, intake/output, and report to RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility needs.
• Assist with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform finger-stick glucose monitoring.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and adhere to PPE and infection control.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and maintain regular attendance.
