Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification or equivalent program completion required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive patient care.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with activities of daily living.
• Provide comfort measures, nourishment, and assist with basic therapies as delegated by licensed staff.
• Advocate for patients, participate in teaching and quality improvement efforts.
• May be cross-trained to serve as a patient safety monitor or unit clerk.

Education

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification

Certificate of completion from an accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program
