Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to assist with personal care, ADLs, and essential patient support in inpatient settings. Under supervision of licensed staff, you will gather information, advocate for patients, and contribute to safety, quality, and efficiency of care.

The NST participates in competency-based tasks, mentors by experienced clinicians, and may be cross-trained for patient safety monitoring or unit clerk duties to support a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• Current Georgia Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program.
• Completion of a Basic Nursing Fundamental Course as evidenced on official transcript.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care to patients.
• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Collect information and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Perform basic and advanced skills as delegated by licensed professionals.
• Cross-train to serve as patient safety monitor or unit clerk where needed.
