Job summary

Mercy Health – St. Charles Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our compassionate team. Under RN supervision, you will assist with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, and support patients with daily activities.

Qualifications

• Nursing aide training or STNA/CNA certification required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred; must obtain before direct patient care.
• Experience in acute care or home health settings encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, hygiene, and assistance with mobility.
• Monitor patients' health and vital signs; report changes to the nurse.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
• Assist with hand-offs and care transitions between staff.
• Foster respectful, compassionate interactions with patients and families.
