Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health's St. Charles Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT).

Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will help with basic patient care, monitor vital signs, assist with feeding, grooming and mobility, and support overall comfort and safety. You will collaborate with nurses and staff, document care accurately, participate in shift handoffs, and adapt to a fast-changing hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of nursing aide training program OR STNA OR CNA.
• Accepts nursing program with clinical nursing course and rotation.
• One year of relevant clinical experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, hygiene and mobility.
• Report changes to the nurse and coordinate care.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.
• Assist with hand-offs and transfer information at shifts.
• Mobilize patients using safe techniques and encourage independence.
