Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Intermediate Care Unit. This full-time day shift role includes assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting RN staff to ensure patient safety and comfort in a high-acuity setting.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and IV/ catheter procedures as needed, with BLS required within 90 days of hire. Comprehensive benefits and salary will be provided.

Competenze

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• One year of related healthcare experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor and document vital signs; observe patient conditions.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing and EKG testing.
• Assist with peripheral IV removal and specimen collection.
• Assist with foley catheter insertion and removal.
• Report changes to RN/medical staff and maintain safety practices.
