Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the ICU with a 7P-7A shift. The role includes patient care, vital signs, mobility assistance, phlebotomy, EKG testing, and specimen collection under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Graduate of CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or related program, or current clinical student in RN/LPN/RT/PT track, or recent PCT/Nursing Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and support activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to RN.
• Assist with mobility, ambulation, and daily activities.
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Assist with EKGs and IV removal as needed.
• Maintain safety practices and document observations accurately.
