Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to support high-quality patient care in a busy hospital unit. You will collaborate with RNs to monitor patient conditions, assist with daily living activities, and help with procedures and data collection in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires basic Life Support, good English communication, and strong interpersonal skills. Work is on site, with a standard 32-hour shift; a signing bonus may be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support.
• Demonstrated competency in PCT I level with 800 hours and 6 months experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear, timely communication to the RN.
• Observe high-risk patients and maintain safety.
• Assist with daily living activities and mobility.
• Assist with treatments and setup of equipment.
• Record vital signs and basic clinical data.
• Assist with specimen collection and basic lab procedures.
