Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the Med/Surg Oncology unit. The role involves direct patient care, vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG testing, specimen collection, and catheter care under RN supervision. BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Requires HS diploma or GED, and one year of healthcare experience preferred. The position is Full Time Days (7A–7P) with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualificações

• HS diploma or GED required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• One year healthcare experience preferred.
• Completion of an approved CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or equivalent program may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nurse.
• Support mobility and ambulation and assist with procedures.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
• Assist with phlebotomy, EKG testing, and catheter care as needed.
• Maintain patient safety and document timely observations.
