Job summary

Piedmont Medical Network - Rock Hill Hospital, part of Tenet Healthcare, seeks a patient care assistant to support licensed staff and care for patients from infant to geriatric. You will perform daily living activities, assist with monitoring and transcribing orders, and help ensure smooth unit operations.

The role includes potential float to other nursing units, with emphasis on compassionate, customer-focused care and adherence to established practice standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of CNA course required.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Accurately checks patient’s blood sugar and documents results as ordered.
• Obtains vital signs appropriately based on patient’s age and condition.
• Performs patient interventions completely within scope of practice and age-appropriate competency.
• Provides appropriate treatment in emergency situations as they arise (codes, falls).
• Performs related duties as required.
